Studio C is a full service commercial photography & video studio specializing in image production for use in retail print and web advertising, packaging, signage, catalog and fashion. The studio enlists the talents of ten full time staff members including seven photographers / videographers, assistants, styling director and producer, with specialties in tabletop & set product, apparel, food, rooms, retail jewelry, fashion, location, portraiture, & commercial video.

We’re able to deliver the finest quality images possible for any application, helping to ensure the success of your project while staying within budget and demanding timelines.

In addition, our affiliation with our parent company Colortek provides immediate access to a variety of additional pre-media services including: retouching & digital image construction, color matching, analog & virtual proofing, page assembly, asset management, in-house flexo plating, and large format printing.

A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kevin has spent more than two decades in the commercial photography industry. In 2007 he brought his talents to the Studio-C team, soon becoming Studio Director and leading the team and studio to tremendous success and expansion in succeeding years. Kevin’s expertise in high-volume product, food, tabletop and stop-motion photography, as well as his ability to manage the whole team is vital to StudioC’s ability to produce the highest quality work and client satisfaction. Kevin makes it happen.

Patrick is a Central Illinois native and a 1989 graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale – Cinema & Photography. In the course of his twenty-six year career he has become one of the top retail jewelry photographers and stylists in the business and has worked exclusively with digital capture and studio imaging techniques since their introduction in the early nineties. As the senior shooter for the Studio-C team, Patrick’s commercial experience, unsurpassed attention to detail and passion for fine art serves him daily in his dedication to the finest quality in everything he shoots. From jewelry to food to tabletop to location every image receives utmost attention, regardless of client or budget.

For the past twenty-five years, Barclay’s photography has taken him all over the world. As an artist, his work has been exhibited in galleries in Germany, New York, Ohio and St. Louis. With an MFA from Yale University and ten years in New York, his work has continued to evolve with the advancement of technology. In addition to his fine art, Barclay’s years of experience as a commercial photographer allows him to produce work equally strong in the studio and on location. His understanding of light, color and form allows him to easily transition from edgy and dramatic to bright and breezy, bringing artistic integrity to every aspect of his photography.

Clay’s path to photography started in the mid 1970’s as an architecture student at the University of Idaho.  He then transferred to SIU-Carbondale to study the fine art of photography.  After Carbondale, he returned to St. Louis and began shooting for area newspapers and small businesses, finally settling in full time at a couple of commercial studios in town shooting product, food and people for local and national ads, catalogs, retail displays and the web.  Clay’s dedication to high quality images and client happiness has created his reputation for doing whatever is required to keep projects moving forward on time and having a good time while producing great work.

Natalie just loves to make pictures, plain and simple. She grew up in a small lake community outside Washington, Mo. swimming, boating, fishing and capturing her favorite moments with a rare passion. That passion has led her to a rich career producing beautiful images for a wide variety of clients. In addition to creating stunning food, beverage and people photography, Natalie does set styling, digital imaging, prop shopping, location scouting, you name it. Give her a challenge, there’s nothing she won’t do to make your project come alive.

As studio producer Michelle keeps everything in the house running smoothly. She sees that schedules are kept, projects stay organized and clients and photographers have what they need to get the job done. With fourteen years experience as an account coordinator and CSR at Colortek and many more in the graphics and pre-press industry she has an intimate understanding of the relationships and requirements necessary to produce a commercial project. From the pre-production meeting to image capture on set to the final print or display, Michelle is on top of the job.
